The celebrations are not restricted to 1 or 2 days/nights but last for upwards of 2 weeks, basically from the full moon to the next new moon. CNY is made up of several celebrations rolled into one.
Fireworks/crackers play a major part in today's celebrations and there doesn't seem to be a night that the skies are not split open by an amazing visual delight of colour.
The final night is tonight and there is a concert and firework display planned for the Esplanade that should be the culmination of all CNY celebrations.
Straits Quay has set the tone throughout the CNY and will undoubtedly not be left out of the fun tonight.
